Finally it’s time once again, for us to gear up, strap on our goggles, hook up our decks, set our cyber watches and dive back into the realm of Shadowrun.
After a fair bit of waiting and uncertainty Hairbrained Schemes have launched their kickstarter campaign for Shadowrun Hong Kong.
Now if you aren’t one of my previous readers who haven’t read my previous review on both Shadowrun Returns and Dragonfall to know how madly in love I am with this game series. Shadowrun Hong Kong, as you can expect is set in the magically Awakened city of Hong Kong of 2056, a city brimming with bright lights, gleaming towers, and restless spirits where life is cheap and everything’s for sale.
And where everything’s for sale, then everything’s up for grabs as a Shadowrunner and the lure of a quick payday draws you from Seattle into the neon glow of Victoria Harbour. From here you will gain new ‘colourful’ allies, get involved in a corporate conspiracy nearly thirty years in the making and of course it wouldn’t be Shadowrun without some supernatural force looming on the horizon.
Of course there’s more you can find out on the kickstarter page but expect to be sure that Shadowrun Hong Kong will be home to strong storytelling, plenty of morally gray choices, a crew of memorable characters with distinct personalities, challenging tactical turn-
